Benefit for Hiromi T'ai Chi
at Morven Japanese Garden
Saturday, April 30, 2005
Thanks to the gracious assistance of Mrs. Kluge, we held our first fund raising-benefit at the Morven Japanese Garden. This beautiful garden and a tea house were visited by more than 100 people who came to learn about Hiromi T'ai Chi and contribute what they could towards our Dojo Fund.
Talking with fellow students and teachers, making new friends and inspired by peaceful surroundings, everyone counted the event a great success. Students and friends demonstrated various T'ai Chi Forms, as well as the Hsing-I Short Stick and Sword Forms. Victor Lee and Peter Markush played meditative music on two Chinese Ruan (Moon Lutes), adding to the wonderful atmostphere of the place.
Thanks to the generosity of those who attended the benefit, Hiromi T'ai Chi raised more than $7,000. Along with those who contributed towards the Dojo Fund, we would especially like to thank the many volunteers who contributed their time and effort to make the event a success.
